Online development environment for MSP430

I’m developing a web solution for editing and compiling/building MSP430 firmware. It’s meant as a simple alternative to IAR and CCS, allowing you to test out concepts without having to install these systems.

I’m planning more advanced features, including sharing of code etc, but it’ll start simple. It uses MSPGCC4 and EditArea. I’ve got a prototype of it working already, but will continue on it later this summer.

I hope to develop a graphical front-end also, similar to modk.it, which is really cool, so that MSP430 can be used by a larger group.

DIY Hovercraft

Since I got some spare brushless motors when I built the quadcopter, I thought I’d make this simple radio controlled hovercraft that some people have made and posted on Youtube.

I’m not quite happy with the controls yet. I haven’t implemented a gyro on it, and the turning servo isn’t turning enough (too low angle), so it’s not easy to control. But it’s fun anyway. It runs inside and on the road outside, but can’t go over any large obstructions.
