Arduino projects – robot and guide for blind

I came across Arduino some weeks ago, and my electronic hobby was revived a little. This is an open source hardware and software project that aims to make development for microcontrollers accessible for more people. The development environment is simple but very powerful. More info on a separate page.

  1. Hi,

I just received delivery of an Arduino board, not sure what I’m going to be doing with it, but I was thinking along the lines of image processing. I’ve also been looking at OpenCV for another project.

Glad to see you’re doing some interesting stuff!

  2. Yes, I was also wondering about image processing. Seems it’s a bit limited on memory though, so may be difficult to do something very useful. I’ve also worked with the Gumstix boards, which have more memory and more punch on the CPU side. But a lot more expensive. Let me know how it goes on your end 🙂

There’s a project with taking an incoming video signal and doing stuff to it on Arduino. Not sure what the link was. Tor Arne mentioned that one. There’s also one where it takes a video signal from a camera and converts it into an LED 10×10 map… looked a bit cool also.
